Rockstar Games has officially confirmed that pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) will begin on June 25, 2026, marking a major step forward in one of the most highly anticipated video game releases in history.
The pre-order rollout will be available through digital storefronts such as the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store, as well as selected retail partners. Players can also wishlist the game ahead of time to receive notifications once pre-orders go live.
Alongside the announcement, Rockstar revealed the official cover art for GTA 6 through a short promotional video. The artwork follows the franchise’s signature pop-art style and highlights the game’s dual protagonists, Lucia and Jason, alongside various elements of the fictional world of Leonida, including fast cars, helicopters, wildlife, and neon-inspired visuals.

The GTA 6 story follows Jason and Lucia, a criminal duo drawn into a large-scale conspiracy across the state of Leonida after a failed score. Early descriptions suggest a narrative centered on survival, loyalty, and rising criminal power in a modern Vice City-inspired setting.
The game world, Leonida, is heavily inspired by Florida and features a modern reimagining of Vice City. Early visuals showcase a dense urban environment, advanced lighting systems, dynamic weather, and highly detailed open-world design aimed at delivering a next-generation experience.
