Nscale, Backed by Nvidia, Reaches $14.6 Billion Valuation After Latest Funding Round

British artificial intelligence firm Nscale, supported by Nvidia, announced on Monday that it raised $2 billion in its latest funding round, boosting its valuation to $14.6 billion.

The Series C round was led by Norway’s Aker and 8090 Industries, with participation from Nvidia, Citadel, Dell, Jane Street, and other investors, according to the company’s statement.

Adding more strength to its board, Nscale welcomed former Meta executives Nick Clegg and Sheryl Sandberg, along with former Yahoo President Susan Decker.

This funding comes as Nscale prepares for a potential initial public offering (IPO), having appointed Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan as lead underwriters. The timeline for the IPO has not yet been finalized.

Founded in 2024, Nscale operates its own data centers, GPU infrastructure, and software stack to deliver large-scale, GPU-powered AI computing. The newly secured funds will be used to expand its data center capacity to meet the growing demand for AI computing from clients such as Microsoft and OpenAI.
